Houseboats

The quintessential image that flies to one’s mind as the word “Kerala” is heard is that of a background dipped in all shades of green, dominated by the central figure of a kettuvallam, or a wooden ‘houseboat’. The idyllic lagoons of Kerala are offered to the visitor abroad the kettuvallam. As you float by under the cool thatched roof, you get to be a witness to the untouched and serene sublimity of rural Kerala. A stay in a houseboat is hence to be considered an irreplaceable part of the traveller’s checklist.

House Boats, equipped with state-of-art luxuries without compromising on any of the safety technology, will treat you to an unforgettable experience of the long channels and isolated islands  that overlooks the lush paddy fields of the surrounding hamlet. The houseboats are built in a unique combination of the old and the new, matching the classical architectural tradition of Kerala with the modern comforts of cosy bedrooms, a dining area at the bow, and an open deck. Our staff is well-trained and will take all possible measures to ensure that your stay is gratifying.

Houseboats have luxurious bedrooms, all air-conditioned and with attached washrooms. Each boat carries a professional staff that will cater to all your needs and a full-fledged floating kitchen managed by a chef onboard.
